Sawa, a house helper for a center class household with an aged infirm grandfather, is pressured to stretch her morals to maintain her job. Because of this, she finds herself broke and out on the road. She survives her first night time by hanging up an ambiguous friendship with a kindly outdated man, having access to a portion of the immense wealth held by Japan's ageing inhabitants. She continues with comparable encounters, and whereas these start as scams or revenge on rampant sexism, they in the end turn out to be susceptible intergenerational exchanges.
