Raja Bahadur guidelines his area, though totally conscious that his days as King are numbered. Nonetheless, he indulges in ladies, alcohol, and high-living - most of which is thru borrowed cash, with the collectors threatening to take him to courtroom. He even has an affair with prostitute named Dulari, who he refuses to marry, and has her brother, Kundan, despatched to jail. When his brother, Suraj, returns from overseas, Bahadur decides to withhold this data from him. With a view to sustain appearances, Bahadur will get his males to rob their neighbor, Hiralal's home, of all jewelery and money.
