Set within the imaginary village of Ajab Gaon (Unusual Village) , the story revolves round a number of characters. Raja Birchandra, is a king and not using a kingdom who whiles away his time singing songs by Tagore. Dukkharam is a faculty instructor who lives in a home haunted by an ancestor; Madhab Ghosal is a devotee of Lord Shiva who desires to analyse every thing; Madhab Dutta claims to be an important shikari; Tia, Dutta's harmless niece, has resolved to marry the varsity instructor. Underlying the strands of all of those tales, is the legend of a treasure hidden within the Raja's palace. Birchandra is least involved about this however there are specific different characters who're out to steal it.
