When younger Rekha falls in love with unemployed Kalyan, her high-hat mom, Chamundeshwari, disapproves of the match and devises quite a few schemes to drive the lovebirds aside. However Kalyan proves a harder adversary than Chamundeshwari expects, and shortly an intense battle of wills ensues.
