Having saved his little sister Bina (Child Meena Kumari) from the floods, Amar (Sheikh Mukhtar) turns into more and more possessive about her through the years. Amar falls in love twice however forgoes marriage so he can take care of the rising Bina. Bina (Nalini Jaywant), now a grown up younger woman falls in love with the social activist Rajendra (Harish). Nevertheless, Amar can't bear to lose Bina and so he plans her marriage to the thief Moti Kanhaiyalal, with the concept he'll get her divorced after a while after which Bina would stick with him all the time. After a number of incidents that find yourself uniting Rajendra and Bina, Amar will get some happiness when a daughter is born to Bina.
