Sudha Verma desires to be the perfect daughter for her dad, and mother. Sadly, her mother passes away, and her dad re-marries, this time to Kamla, who's self-serving and under no circumstances to see Sudha marry and cool down. Sudha meets with Dr. Rajesh Anand, and each fall in love. All approve of the wedding, till Rajesh sees the invitation card for Sudha's marriage, and realizes that his marriage has been organized with Sharda, and that Sudha is to marry Rakesh. Rajesh makes an attempt to straighten this out, however idealistic Sudha doesn't agree as she doesn't need to embarass her dad. Sadly, Sudha marriage doesn't happen, because the dowry cash has been stolen. Rajesh returns and hopes to marry Sudha, however finds that Sudha and her dad are lacking, and are untraceable, after which returns house to discover a look-alike of Sudha, who calls herself Asha, however denies ever being or realizing anybody named Sudha Verma.
