Set within the forests of Wayanad, Ezhamathe Varavu is a multilayered story that delineates the hyperlink between man and nature. It revolves round three principal characters — a planter, his spouse and his good friend. Gopi, a rich planter is an Alpha male, a hunter who assumes he is aware of the jungle and its creatures. Bhavana performs his long-suffering spouse, who craves for his firm and affection. Into their turbulent marriage comes Vineeth, an archaeologist on a dig in Wayanad. He seems to be her school beau. Kavitha performs a tribal who introduces Vineeth to the forests and its inhabitants.
