Anand, a talented engineering graduate, involves a village from Madras to work in a cement manufacturing facility. He's shocked when he learns concerning the exploitation and mistreatment of the employees there. Arjun, the corrupt supervisor of the manufacturing facility, takes half of the wages from each employee as his fee. Anand complains to Ramkumar, the son of the manufacturing facility proprietor, who was a university buddy, and Ramkumar provides Arjun a warning. In the meantime, Anand befriends Senthamari, a labourer within the manufacturing facility, and is interested in Gowri, Senthamari's sister
