Fitzcarraldo is a dreamer who plans to construct an opera home in Iquitos, within the Peruvian Amazon, so, to be able to finance his venture, he embarks on an epic journey to gather rubber, a really worthwhile product, in a distant and unexplored area of the rainforest.
