With Earth just about destroyed, Bran Marshall flees to Rhea, a close-by planet now hostile in the direction of "Earthers". Escaping onto a Rhean provide ship, he finds the crew slaughtered, with the one survivor a feminine warrior named Ohsha. As the 2 attempt to kill each other, the ship is broken by meteorites. Bran and Ohsha should be part of forces to salvage the craft earlier than it impacts the planet beneath — and the people that reside there.
