Set within the backwaters of Kerala, the story is concerning the life, reminiscences and wishes of a 25-year-old lady Kala, who finds her livelihood by fishing within the lake. She is constantly exploited bodily and mentally by her merciless husband, and he or she longs for love from a delicate soul. She searches for Sherin, who was Kala’s teenage good friend, and the one with whom Kala shared a really intimate bodily relationship. Now Sherin has change into a Nun and has renounced all wishes.
