Vicky (Saif Ali Khan) is a well-liked singer, who meets and falls in love with Preeti (Raveena Tandon). He asks permission to marry her from her father, who immediately approves of him. Preeti is reluctant to get married however agrees for her father's sake. Quickly, her father falls in poor health, and he makes her promise that she won't inform Vicky about her previous life.
