After getting back from abroad, heiress Rita is stressed and must go someplace to unwind. She chooses Kashmir and, upon arrival, rents a houseboat from the proprietor, Raja. After just a few misunderstandings, they're attracted to one another and shortly fall in love. This romance isn't appeared upon favorably by Raj Bahadur Chunilal, Rita's dad, as he would favor his daughter marry a suitor he has chosen for her: Kishore. Rita dislikes Kishore and can solely marry Raja; the wily Raj Bahadur devises a plan that can let him hold the cake and eat it too.
