The movie relies on a Kannada novel Vyapthi Prapthi written by Vishalakshi Dakshinamurthy. Jeevana Chaitra tracks the life and instances of Vishwanath, from his youth, by means of the times of his jodi inamathi when he turns into Jodidar Vishwanatha Raya to his finish.
