Rahmat, a middle-aged fruit vendor from Afghanistan, involves Calcutta to hawk his merchandise and befriends a small Bengali woman known as Mini who reminds him of his personal daughter again in Afghanistan. Sooner or later Rehmat receives information of his daughter’s sickness and decides to return to Afghanistan. However earlier than he goes a violent combat with a buyer results in Rehmat killing him.
