Kantatar (Barbed Wire) revolves across the journey of Sudha (Sreelekha Mitra), a socio-political-love drama, Kantatar facilities on an unlawful immigrant's seek for identification and her effort to outlive sake and in the hunt for an identification, strikes from one man to a different and from one faith to a different. The sudden menace of cross border terrorism totally adjustments the socio-political scenario in a distant village near the frontier, the military rolls into city, and the drastic adjustments take their toll on inter-personal relationships as they're marred by suspicion, competitors and worry.
