Karthavyam is a 1990 Telugu movie directed by Mohan Gandhi. The movie was a brilliant hit and was subsequently dubbed into Tamil as Vyjayanthi IPS and have become a success there too. The lead actress Vijayashanti gained the Nationwide Movie Award for Greatest Actress for her efficiency on this movie.
