Kolkata-based Sheela Bhowmik feels remoted and uncared for, and decides to go away her busy film-maker husband, Raja, to spend someday along with her good friend, Renu, her mother, after which subsequently travels to Kashmir to spend a while by herself. Raja will get concerned in a brand new film depicting the lifetime of Gautam Buddh, and is on the look-out for a male baby to play the character. He does discover one, a younger school-going lad, Abhirup Mitra; introduces him to the Producer, Vikram; in addition to different crew together with lovely Anjali, who has a crush on Raja. Neither Vikram, Anjali nor any of the crew are conscious that Raja is the prime suspect within the abduction of Abhirup.
