Anger rages in Philip as he awaits the publication of his second novel. He feels pushed out of his adopted house metropolis by the fixed crowds and noise, a deteriorating relationship together with his photographer girlfriend Ashley, and his personal indifference to selling the novel. When Philip's idol Ike Zimmerman provides his remoted summer season house as a refuge, he lastly will get the peace and quiet to concentrate on his favourite topic: himself.
