So far as he can bear in mind Harinarain Singh alias Hariya has no information of his beginning, mother and father nor of a household dwelling. Throughout a skirmish with a few of Thakur Balram Singh's hoodlums, he lies unconscious on the entrance of a temple with the Poojary in attendance, and an aged unhinged lady praying to God for his sake. When he wakes, the Poojary tells him that the lady, referred to as "Pagli" (madwoman) is his very personal mom, his father was a farmer, Ram Singh, who died of shock when his land was taken away by Balram and his males. Shortly thereafter Pagli passes away, and Hariya swears to take again his land from Balram. A wily Balram switch this land in his nephew, Balraj's title, who is understood to be a detailed buddy of Hariya's with hopes of making a misunderstanding between the 2 mates. When Balraj returns dwelling he accepts this land from his uncle and decides to oppose Hariya with all his may, particularly when he finds out that the love of his life, Sharda, resides with Hariya.
