Belonging to a household that has a grandfather hooked on alcohol, Mohan Khanna (Raj Kapoor) too is hooked on alcohol, compounded by the truth that he's enamoured with a girl, Miss Reeta (Nishi), who's utilizing him to extort cash and vengeance from his Choose father, Kundan Lal Khanna.
