One situation prevents younger Leena (Leena Chandravarkar) from receiving her inheritance: She's unwed -- and till she marries, her uncle will not relinquish her legacy. When the annoyed Leena meets jobless Sanjeev (Sanjeev Kumar), the duo concocts a quid-pro-quo scheme: For a sum, Sanjeev will quickly pose as her partner. However as soon as Leena has her fortune in hand, she's prepared for "hubby" to make tracks.
