Krishna, 17 years-old and pregnant, returns to her village residence in rural West Bengal to face her household and problem the wedding of Tara, her beloved youthful sister. Confronted with patriarchy and the generational oppression of girls the reunited sisters should reconcile their variations and make a fateful alternative.
