Dibyanath Chatterji, his bank-employed spouse, Sujata, and solely little one, a son, Brati, reside a middle-class existence in Calcutta, West Bengal, India, circa early Seventies. Sujata is a quiet, religious Hindu, spiritual, and compassionate girl, and Brati has completed his faculty and is now attending school. His mother and father are pleased with him, and maintain monitor of his progress. Then their world is shattered through the early hours, when they're knowledgeable by the police that Brati has been killed.
