A widow's grief for her husband supplies the main focus on this tender Indian drama. Ramayyar was the enjoyment of Ananpoorna's life. His current loss of life actually drained all shade from Ananpoorna's life. The film is a mix of her recollections and her current state of affairs. Earlier than her husband died, the 2 owned a small cafe in Kerala, their house village. The distant little city is linked to the world by passing trains en path to town of Trivandrum. When the funeral is completed, Ananpoorna finds herself destitute and unable to assist her teenage son and daughter. To pay her money owed, her cafe is bought and razed. Afterwards she strikes in together with her brother-in-law. Her son, Kannan, should determine whether or not to hitch the army, on the recommendation of the stationmaster, or be part of his good friend who journeys to the Center-East.
