Pallavoor Devanarayanan film is all about Devan (Mammootty) who's a proficient drummer. Folks flock to the festivals simply to see him play the drums with utmost devotion. His father opposes his relationship with a woman belonging to a decrease caste and forces him to marry a woman of his alternative Vasundhara (Sangeetha). Unable to bear his resolution she commits suicide. He leads a really glum life with Vasundhara although she loves him and takes excellent care of him.
