Pamposh is India's first movie in Gevacolor and tells the story of a deaf orphan Mogli who's adopted by the impoverished proprietor of a dilapidated houseboat Kassim. Although Kassim and his teenaged daughter Naseem take the orphan to their bosom his spouse ill-treats the unlucky youngster who's quickly made right into a family drudge.
