A Jewish girl, Dr. Michele Wolf, interred in a Nazi focus camp throughout WWII returns to her Paris house after the conflict's finish. She's unaware that her husband, the good-looking gigolo and chess grasp Stanislaw Pilgrin, has been having an affair along with her stepdaughter Fabi in her absence.
