After destroying his older brother's bike in retaliation for his fixed bullying, 11-year-old Krishna is distributed to a touring circus to earn cash to pay for the bike's repairs, however quickly winds up within the streets of Bombay's poorest slums. There, he befriends the drug seller Chillum and younger prostitute Sola Saal, whereas making an attempt to make sufficient cash at a neighborhood tea stall to repay his debt to his household.
