Primarily based on the novel Magno Mainak by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay, the movie portrays the long-lasting Bengali detective Byomkesh Bakshi alongside along with his good friend Ajit Bandyopadhyay as he investigates the homicide of a Pakistani spy named Heena Mallick. He begins the investigation on the request of a political chief, Mr. Santosh Samaddar, who was an in depth good friend of Heena's mother and father and had given her shelter after her mother and father' dying.
