Shyamal Uncle, an eighty-year outdated retiree dwelling together with his spouse in Paikpara (an outdated Kolkata neighborhood), notices someday that the road lights close to his home are left on even in the course of the day. He finds it unconscionable to let this waste go and decides to take motion. He talks to quite a lot of individuals - from the native vendor to the native political chief; from the electrical energy officer to the police officer. However nobody even bothers to hearken to him and he's given the runaround. Even his spouse is skeptical of his endeavor. Drawing a distinction with the mundane existence of his private life, the movie is a narrative of Shyamal Uncle's journey as he fights the comb offs, insults, and skepticism with one single purpose - flip off the lights.
