Sam, who after his bike is broken in an obvious crash into the ocean, turns into stranded in a small New England city, finds refuge at a run-down motel managed by Kate, a equally burnt-out, misplaced soul. The thriller round Sam's presence on the town unravels when it is found that his estranged daughter Audrey lives there - the daughter he hasn't seen her in 25 years.
