In 1968, artwork college students Storm Thorgerson and Aubrey “Po” Powell made a trippy photograph collage for his or her musician associates Syd, David and Roger. The ensuing album and album cowl, A Saucerful of Secrets and techniques, helped launch two careers: that of Pink Floyd, one of many 70s megabands, and of Hipgnosis, which, over the course of the subsequent 25 years, designed a stream of iconic album covers.
