Screenwriter Leo is trying to find the wolf within the south of France. Throughout a scouting tour he's seduced by Marie, a free-spirited and dynamic shepherdess. 9 months later she offers start to their baby. Affected by post-natal melancholy and with no religion in Leo, who comes and goes with out warning, Marie abandons each of them. Leo finds himself alone, with a child to take care of.
