When a Dalit wins the elections for mayor in his small village in northeastern India, lethal rioting forces an impoverished couple to flee to Calcutta the place they'll hopefully discover work. As an alternative, they find yourself sleeping on the streets till they've an opportunity at incomes slightly earnings -- a person has requested them to take his herd of pigs throughout a fast-moving river. The present is harmful, and worse, the spouse is pregnant and this may not be a simple job even when she weren't. Undaunted and determined, the couple settle for the job and enter the river to face their future.
