In the meantime, the townsfolk, led by a Stanley-costumed Mater, benefit from the deliberate 'leisurely drive' to retrace Stanley’s unique frontier route. Considering they’re on the identical course, a unsuitable flip sends McQueen and the Baja execs on a treacherously wild bid for survival. The misunderstanding leaves the racing professionals in awe of the 'legend' of Stanley: the Unique Off-Highway Racer.
