Over the last forty years, the photographer Sebastião Salgado has been travelling via the continents, within the footsteps of an ever-changing humanity. He has witnessed the main occasions of our current historical past: worldwide conflicts, starvations and exodus… He's now embarking on the invention of pristine territories, of the wild fauna and flora, of grandiose landscapes: an enormous photographic challenge which is a tribute to the planet's magnificence. Salgado's life and work are revealed to us by his son, Juliano, who went with him throughout his final journeys, and by Wim Wenders, a photographer himself.
