The movie is a tribute to the yesteryear actresses who had been swish, standard figures in cinema throughout their youthful age with patronage and later bought fully disregarded by the trade, media and the plenty alike. Ranjith has drawn inspiration from the lifetime of many actresses however particularly from the romantic link-up of the late actress Srividya with actor Kamal Haasan.
