Two distinguished households & enterprise rivals, the Uppukandam brothers, Kariachan (Captain Raju), Paulachan (Keerikkadan Jose), Xavichan (Babu Antony), Josekutty (Jagadish) & Thankachan (Baiju), & the Ettuveettil Pillais, headed by Ananthan Pillai (Rajan P. Dev) & his sons & nephews, have been feuding for years, aggravated by the truth that Xavichan had gone to jail for killing Vasu Pillai (Johny) of the Ettuveettil household, who in flip had killed Roy Mathews (Siddique), Xavichan's brother-in-law.
