Anand(Kamal Haasan) is a spoilt younger man whose dad and mom have died forsaking an enormous inheritance. He spends all his waking hours boozing and playing together with his buddies. One such night time, he leads to a brawl with some rowdies, however a stranger Selvam(Radharavi) involves his rescue. Selvam beats up the rowdies and takes Anand again to his bungalow. A drunk Anand forces Selvam to spend the night time in his home. Nonetheless, the subsequent day, he has no recollection of the earlier night time's occasions. His servant Mani(Janagaraj) and accountant Nagapillai(V. Ok. Ramasamy) come to Selvam's assist. In appreciation, Anand appoints Selvam as his Private Assistant.
