Tarek and his mom Ghaydaa quantity among the many tens of hundreds of refugees crossing the border from Palestine, having been separated from Tarek's father amidst the chaos of the Six Day Warfare. They in the end settle on the Harir refugee camp, a makeshift house for a brand new technology displaced by battle. Tarek desires of being reunited along with his father, and struggles to adapt to a brand new life far-off from all he beforehand knew.
