Kimiko, a Tokyo white-collar working woman, lives along with her critical, mental, haiku-writing mom. Kimiko seeks to marry her boyfriend however wants her absent father to behave because the go-between and negotiate the wedding. Kimiko travels and finds her father residing with a second household.
