Mikaela is a profitable romance novelist who has had dangerous luck in love, visits a quaint mattress and breakfast for a Christmas author's retreat close to a snowy lake city annually. Upon arriving, she meets dashing author Levi, who quickly convinces Mikaela that she should not be writing about love, if she does not permit herself to get out and truly expertise it.
