Lalita catches the attention of J.B. and he instantly falls in love along with her and decides he should marry her. He bribes Lalita's uncle Madanlal into convincing Lalita to marry him. Nevertheless, Lalita refuses and J.B. kidnaps her and forces her to marry him. One fateful evening, Lalita manages to flee and she or he meets Raj (Rishi Kapoor) whose household consists of an aged grandfather who dotes on him and desires him to get married at any value.
