Set within the coronary heart of Mumbai, ZOO depicts existence in and across the ghetto co-existing with the individuals residing within the upmarket, high-rise buildings of Mumbai. It's a story of a bunch of kids trapped and combating their existence, and traces their lives via 4 parallel tracks. The movie delves and inter-weaves the lives of two teenaged Dharavi rappers, a coffee-shop waiter who runs his drug supply on the espresso store, an under-aged teenage lady who hasn't left her posh South Mumbai condominium in 2 years as she lives the guilt of accidently killing her pals, and one other lady staying within the slums working as home assist in upmarket Mumbai. As we observe them, we notice that both they're combating their identities, or try to change their realities or have reluctantly succumbed to it.
